Slightly more than a century ago, on 15 May 1921, the Earth was subjected to a massive geomagnetic storm caused by a solar eruption. In Sweden a telegraph office caught fire as a result. Telephone lines burned in New Brunswick. A station on the Central New England Railroad burned... all because of the Sun’s activity.
Why do we care a century later? These days our electronic devices are far more sensitive. When we receive Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) from the Sun satellites and all their functions are affected. GPS, ATMs, doppler radar weather systems and computer network synchronization could suffer yet unknown levels of disruption. Recently, on 11 May and 22 May solar emanations from CMEs reached the Earth. Following the 22 May event, static from thunderstorms was drowned out on radio telescopes from a solar radio burst. Intense.
While you may not be operating a switchboard or radio telescope or controlling smooth transactions at an ATM, you do manage an intricate body energy system that is the results of the weave of the chakra system and all its subtleties. Imagine, with the sensitivity of such delicate personal energy balancing systems upon which blasts of anomalous solar energy might have an impact.
In fact, they do. During solar blasts a general grumpiness echoes over Earth. It’s as if people cannot synch up their energetic intentions with their mental, decision-making processes. Criticalness and testiness rises. Everyone (everything) with a living energy system is impacted. The crankiness of a bear waking from hibernation could be dwarfed by such responses!
The Sun, within its natural ebb and flow nature, now increases in sunspots and the resulting solar eruptions. During these disturbances, increase your spiritual drill and apply chill-out protocols. Bask in nature. Work to respond in a non personal manner to all incoming, encroaching or imposing vibes from others.
That would be great if only we all knew when such things were happening. You can know! If you head to spaceweather.com, you can sign up for alerts that warn you of incoming solar storms. Cool. Now you only need to contend with the transits... and there are a few transits coming up that require a modicum of careful and conscious cosmic attention.
On 30 May, Mars in Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces. This could be an amazing time for creative flashes and insights. This time stands ready and willing to grab onto cosmic brilliance and to make something of it.
Also, a likely manifestation is fanning the fires of fiction. As theaters open, what a great time to drop in a seat, enjoy some popcorn, savor a salacious drama. As they leave the theater, inspiration and aspiration might flood movie goers.
The caution: This is not a time to engage with conspiracy theories. Fact check everything that strikes your not so kosher internal chime. If it doesn’t pass the sniff test, step away from the source. Likely there could be rabid spreading of propaganda, disinformation and plain and simple nonsense. Yet some will latch on inspired by Neptune to fear the imaginary.
Next up, come 2 June, Mars in Cancer squares Eris in Aries. Here the instinctive reaction is one of feeling shut out, cut off, not included or disowned, whether the reaction is lined up with reality and the actions and intentions of others or not. Revenge agendas or fighting to level the playing field in a counterproductive manner, while seeming a good idea in the moment of reaction, does not show up on the list of great things to do for progress.
Should any feelings of isolation, demotion or demeriting be perceived, take time to step back, shake it off, center in the chakras. With that reboot in place, then a path of constructive corrective action can be conjured and engaged.
Then, on 5 June, Mars in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn. Similar to the Mars-Eris rejection pattern, this one holds a bit more wallop as a person likely feels dethroned or usurped in power by other people. Again, when affronted, step back. Collect your dignity and power in your personal spiritual satchel and when poised, intent and on purpose, step forward with grace potency and a clear sense of what is required in the now by your end game.
These last two aspects are testy ones indeed. Should you follow the news, most certainly the aspects will make their presence known in political, economic and social affairs and arenas. Should solar activity coincide, then the impact bumps up in potency.
All this during a Mercury retrograde, too and between eclipses. The saving grace of the time, the north lunar node in Gemini sextile Chiron in Aries. Keep in mind, everyone... as in every one on the planet... strives for the objective of self healing embedded and infused in pursuing ones purpose and fulfilling a cause. Should you do your part and please Chiron in Aries, he’ll put in a good word for you with Jupiter, who stands in touch with Eris in a manner that permits favors. Eris who naturally favors Mars, who “gets” what Pluto is all about, possesses a few strings she can pull. In this Sun in Gemini time, connecting the dots and working the matrix ensures that all cautions, cosmic and otherwise, can be integrated.
